There is a need for well trained professional Pet Groomers through-out the world as the Pet Grooming Industry continues to grow. There are approximately 74.8 million dogs and 88.3 million cats in the United States. About 43% of these pets are groomed in some type of Pet Grooming business.

Pet Grooming students learn in a comfortable and efficient environment. Clean individual pet grooming stations that simulate actual working conditions awaiting each student.
Our Pet Grooming instructors, with years of grooming experience, teach the art of pet grooming. Our special individualized instruction allows each pet grooming student the opportunity to reach his/her highest possible level of pet grooming knowledge and skills.
Pet grooming students will learn to enhance the beauty of the pet with proper grooming techniques and extensive training. Pet grooming students will learn by standards established by the American Kennel Club (AKC), utilizing nationally recognized and accepted pet grooming procedures. Each pet grooming school student will learn to build speed to become employeed in their field.
The school emphasis is placed on Pet Grooming shop operations and management for pet grooming students wishing to open their own business. The Pet Grooming school is dedicated to continually improving the pet grooming industry as well as itself.
Florida Institute of Animal Arts is a testing center for the National Dog Groomers Association of America for their national certifications.

The Advanced Pet Grooming Program is designed for students who would like to work with other Professional Groomers at an entry level position. Upon graduation, the advanced pet grooming students will be capable of working in a pet grooming position. Advanced pet grooming students will be taught everything in the Basic Pet Grooming Program. In addition, they will be taught to perfect their pet grooming skills and concentrate on proper breed profile. An in depth theory class will be taught which helps students gain the confidence that is needed to keep client records. They will learn the basic usage of the Clipper VAC System. They will learn advanced scissoring techniques. A "CPR class for Pets" will be given.

Professional Pet Styling Program
The Professional Pet Styling Program is designed for students who would like to open their own Pet grooming business at an entry level position, wishing to stay one step ahead of the expanding Pet Grooming Industry. Professional Pet grooming students will be taught everything in the Advanced Pet Grooming Program. In addition, the curriculum of this program is expanded to include more emphasis on emergency medicine, health and nutrition that is linked to a pet's healthy skin and coat. Professional Pet grooming students will learn to refine scissoring skills and enhance the pet's coat; having the ability to work with any kind of coat or hair style a client may request. Professional pet grooming students will increase speed, productivity and efficiency and advanced training utilizing the "Clipper Vac Sytem". Professional pet grooming students will have the opportunity to experience mobile pet grooming in this program.
